Daytime activities at the campsite
At Sunêlia l'Hippocampe, our 5-star campsite in the Alpes de Haute Provence, there's always something happening every day for adults and children alike: entertainment, sports and relaxation are always part of the experience !
Daily activities in high season: Our entertainment team is ready to give you a great time during the day and in the evening. Sports facilities are available with several courts (multisport, beach volleyball, tennis, etc.). Our entertainers also offer dance classes by the pools. For the more active, an outdoor fitness area and Fitness sessions are available every day in July and August. Finally, for children, a funy place of inflatable structures is accessible from the water park.
Off-season entertainment: Sport activities, children's workshops, and evening entertainment are offered on weekends and public holidays starting from May 1st, 2026.

At the campsite, all sports activities are at your disposal:
- A multi-sports court (football, basketball, handball)
- A tennis court
- A beach volleyball court
- Several petanque courts
- 6 table tennis tables
- A fitness outdoor area
Sports activities in high season
During the high season, our entertainers offer a wide range of supervised activities!
You could start your day with a fitness class (yoga, cardio, stretching...) followed by an water aerobics session or a waterpolo tournament.
Some great sports tournaments are organised for you (Petanque, Beach volleyball, Table tennis, Basketball...).
Dance classes
The entertainers at l'Hippocampe are happy to give dance lessons!
For example, learn to dance Salsa or Bachata during the introductory courses at the poolside.
Fitness area
Good news for sports fans!
At l'Hippocampe you'll find an outdoor fitness area!
Fitness classes are also held every morning in July and August.
The Jumping Zone to keep the kids happy!
After a dip in the pool and a slide down the waterslides, it's time to jump in the inflatables!
The Jumping Zone is accessible via the water park.
Need advice or information?
Anim'Info Yurt
Anim'Info is the registration and information desk for all the activities on the campsite.
It is located in the Yurt Village. This is where you can register your children for certain sunny club activities (e.g. themed evenings, all-day activities, etc.)
and book your spot for major sporting events (e.g. Color Run, Water Durance Game, etc.).
Not to mention registering for archery or booking a place on the tennis court.
You can also borrow sports equipment (e.g. tennis rackets and balls, table tennis, balls, etc.) in exchange for an ID card.
Certain partner activities outside the campsite (e.g. rafting, canyoning, paragliding, etc.) can be consulted and booked at Anim Info.
Some of the season's highlights
Here are some examples of events* that took place in previous seasons and that can be part of the high season program:
- The Color Run: a 5-kilometre run or walk around the campsite, with coloured powders thrown in and a DJ at the finish.
- The Olympiads: The big game day, play in teams to win the big prize.
- The Durance Water Game: Relay course over water and land.
- Silent Disco: "Quiet, let's dance !".
- The Theme Dinners such as Paella, Couscous, Méchoui (roasted lamb or pig) or BBQ Party.
- The Great Shows around the pool
- Pool Parties or Pool by Night

Your days on the riverbank
A walk or bike ride
From a quiet walk around the lake on foot or by bike, to small trips on the river in a canoe, you will enjoy the presence of the lake in the middle of nature.
Walks are accessible to all.
Our Durance Nautique base offers bikes for hire.
What's more, the Haute Provence footbridge, inaugurated in July 2022 by Provence Alpes Agglo, will allow you to reach the other bank of the Durance in the blink of an eye (and a few steps)!
The water sports centre
Enjoy the pleasures of the water with Durance Nautique. You'll find equipment for hire for the whole family: bicycles, mountain bikes for adults and children, electric mountain bikes, pedal go-karts, SUP-paddles, canoes, pedal boats and electric boats.
The water sports centre also offers SUP (stand up paddle) initiation sessions and courses.

Fishing
Staying at our campsite in the Alpes de Haute Provence also means you can go fishing (casting or fly-fishing) directly from the campsite on the banks of the Durance.
A fishing licence from the Fédération de Pêche is required, and can be obtained from a local tabac (tobacconist) near the campsite.
The wellness area
Enjoy a moment of relaxation on holiday in the Alpes de Haute Provence in our SPA on the banks of the Durance, where you can choose from a wide range of treatments and massages*.
You'll also find a bubble sauna, sun loungers, canopy beds and a jacuzzi!

The equestrian centre
Pony or horse rides for all levels await you at the equestrian centre located along the lakeshore (towards the village).
